The Asian Banker Financial Markets Awards

The Asian Banker Financial Markets Awards is a landmark recognition programme to benchmark institutional achievement and performance in the markets & exchanges landscape of the Asia Pacific region.
This programme has been administered by The Asian Banker since 2001 initially as part of our prestigious annual Business Achievement Awards programme. Its goal is to recognise excellence in those institutions that have demonstrated a superior business strategy based on strong underlying fundamentals, highlight emerging best practices in establishing robust market structures and identify challenges in executing sound operational processes which market participants can both learn and benefit from.
In the last thirteen years, we have refined our evaluation process to reflect the rapid development of Asian financial markets. Winners are determined following an exhaustive evaluation of submissions along with on-site research and interviews conducted by our research team. The Awards programme seeks to serve industry efforts in evaluating top performing institutions operating in the pre and post trade ecosystem through a transparent rating and assessment process.
The objectives of this award programme are to:
  • Recognise financial market players and infrastructure providers leading the industry in creating deep and sustainable markets for the future.
  • Exemplify the use of technology and business models that have improved global connectivity and access in an efficient and seamless manner.
  • Validate the leadership of regional players that maintain integrity of financial markets, protect investor interests and lead innovation.
  • Identify emerging best practices as well as product and process innovations that serve as a benchmark for all players to improve their competitive profile.
  • Assure transparency through publicly available evaluation criteria, interview questions and guidance of our international panel of advisors so as to facilitate industry benchmarking.
